Agarose I is a standard melting/gelling agarose, suitable for routine nucleic acid and protein analytical and preparative applications. The high purity of Agarose I provides outstanding separation of biomolecules that retain full biological activity. Agarose I has a low EEO for shorter electrophoretic runs without compromising resolution. It is also an excellent all-purpose agarose useful for blotting techniques and general manipulations.

Agarose II is a low melting temperature agarose that melts between 62°C -68°C and remains liquid at 37°C for several hours.These properties make Agarose II ideal for digestions and ligations in the presence of re-melted gel and faciltate easy recovery of intact DNA from gel slices.

Agarose III is optimized for intermediate and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) applications. The exceptionally low EEO and high gel strength of Agarose III facilitates faster electrophoresis running times in low concentration gels. This agarose is best suited for resolving large(>20 kb) DNA fragments.

Agarose IV is the highest strength Agarose and is ideal for pulsed field applications like gene mapping and also chromosomal analysis. It can also be used for resolving nucleic acids down to 200 bp. The high gel strength provides a very manageable gel that will resist tearing when subjected to mechanical manipulation.

Agarose 3:1 HRB(High Resolution Blend), is a unique mixture of agarose formulated to provide high resolution of small nucleic acids and PCR products. Specially designed for analysis of DNA fragments less than 1,000 bp, Agarose 3:1 HRB displays precise banding patterns without smearing or high background fluorescence. The high gel strength allows for easy-to-handle gels that are optimal for blotting applications.

Agarose SFR is a high resolution sieving agarose with unsurpassed clarity. DNA bands differing in size by 2% can be resolved in the range of 200 - 1,000 bp. This agarose is suitable for the analysis of AFLP's (Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphisms), STR's (Short Tandem Repeats) and tetranucleotide repeats. The low melting temperature of Agarose SFR makes it an excellent medium for analytical and preparative electrophoresis.
